Capital machinery often qualifies for a concessionary duty rate, and whether it does turns on classification and on the SRO conditions being properly evidenced. Get it right and the saving is substantial. Get it wrong and you have paid standard rate on a very large invoice.

Over-dimensional and over-weight consignments also need route planning and port equipment booked in advance, which is a different job from filing a declaration.
