Import clearance is where a consignment either moves or sits. We take your commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading and LC copy, check them against each other before customs does, classify the goods, file the Bill of Entry into the automated system and stand in front of the assessing officer on your behalf.

Where valuation is queried we produce comparable evidence rather than accepting an inflated assessment. Where a physical inspection is called, one of our officers is at the shed for it. You get told what happened the same day it happens — not a week later when the demurrage has already accrued.

What you get

  • One file number and one named officer for the whole consignment
  • Same-day filing when documents arrive before noon
  • Valuation queries argued, not simply accepted
  • Free-time tracked so detention never arrives as a surprise

How it runs

  1. Document check

We reconcile invoice, packing list and bill of lading against each other before customs sees a discrepancy.

  2. HS classification

Goods are assigned the correct Harmonized System code, which decides the duty you pay.

  3. Bill of Entry filed

The declaration is submitted into the automated customs system with all supporting documents attached.

  4. Assessment

We answer valuation and classification queries in person, with comparable evidence where the value is challenged.

  5. Duty payment

Duty, VAT, AIT and regulatory duty are paid — from your funds or advanced from ours.

  6. Release and delivery order

Customs release is obtained and the delivery order collected from the carrier.

Questions we get asked

The same working day, if your documents reach us before noon and the carrier manifest is in. Filing before the manifest is what causes rejections.

We contest it. That means producing comparable import data for the same HS code and, if needed, taking the matter to a formal review rather than paying an assessment we think is wrong.

No. Our officer attends and represents you, and you get a report with photographs the same day.

Tell us what is shipping. We will tell you what it costs to clear.

Four questions about your consignment and you get an indicative breakdown of our charges and the duty to expect — before you speak to anyone.
