What we collect
This site collects information only where you actively give it to us, through four forms:
- Request a Quote. Company name, contact name, phone, email, and the shipment details you enter — commodity, HS code, invoice value and currency, packages, freight mode and gateway. The invoice value and commodity description are, by their nature, commercially sensitive.
- Contact form. Your name, company, email, phone and message.
- Trade-update subscription. Your email address only.
- Consignment tracking. The reference number you enter. We do not require an account or any personal detail to look up a consignment.
What we do not collect through the tracking lookup
Consignment tracking is deliberately built so that a reference number reveals only the clearance milestones, the current status, and how much carrier free time remains before demurrage or detention accrues. It does not show the invoice value, the duty assessed, or the contact details on file for that consignment — those stay in our internal records and are never returned by the tracking page, to anyone.
How we use it
Quote and contact submissions are used to prepare an estimate or a firm quotation, to open and manage your consignment file, and to contact you about it. Subscription emails are used only to send the tariff and port-advisory updates you signed up for. We do not sell any of this information.
Who we share it with
Clearing a consignment necessarily involves other parties, and information is shared with them only as far as the clearance requires: customs authorities, port and terminal operators, shipping lines and airlines, and — where you have asked us to arrange it — inland transport operators and bonded warehouse operators. We do not share your information with anyone else for their own marketing purposes.
How long we keep it
Consignment records, including the documents and figures submitted through the quote wizard, are retained for as long as our own recordkeeping and tax obligations require. A quote request that does not proceed to a consignment, a contact enquiry, or a newsletter subscription is kept only for as long as is reasonably useful, and is deleted on request.
Security
Every form on this site is submitted over an encrypted connection. Each carries a hidden anti-spam field and, where configured, Google reCAPTCHA — a visitor never sees a duty figure or a fee that a form has not first validated on our server, and a submitted quote request or consignment record is only ever visible from the site’s administration area, not from the public pages.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it for legal or accounting reasons. Contact us using the details on our Contact page to make any of these requests.
Cookies
This site does not run third-party analytics or advertising trackers by default. If Google reCAPTCHA is enabled to protect a form against spam, Google may set a cookie as part of that check; see Google’s own privacy policy for what that involves.
